Part 1. Overview
1.1 General introduction
The unit is an old 1250 6-high cold rolling mill. It was installed and put into operation in 2012. It
stopped production in 2017. During the production period, the mill runs steadily, the product quality is stable. The width of the rolling product specification is 800-1200mm, and the thickness of the finished product is 0.3-0.15mm. The rolling mill adopts a single stand reversible six-high UCM cold rolling mill. The working rolls of the mill are equipped with positive and negative bending rolls, the middle rolls are equipped with positive bending rolls and twitching. It is equipped with uncoiler, tension coiler and thickness gauge in front and back of frame to ensure high-speed and stable production of thinner products.
1.1.2 Its Characteristic
The 1250 6-high reversible cold rolling mill adopts a single stand UCM model, it rolls the pickled hot
rolled coil into cold and hard coil. The unit is equipped with hydraulic AGC, working roll with positive
bending roll, intermediate roll with positive bending roll and moving, double X-ray thickness gauge in front and back the mill. Its characteristics are as follows:
1. Uncoiler is equipped with CPC automatic centering function, which improves the centering
response speed and position control accuracy.
2. Positive and negative bending of the work roll; the intermediate roll has transverse moving
presetting, locking, and positive bending control measure. The bending roll can be controlled
from single side; rollers are equipped with subsection cooling and roll shape adjustment.
Multiple-plate-shape control measure is able to better control the plate shape of finished strips.
3. Double-station roll changing carriage is adopted, which realizes the swift changing between the
work roll and the intermediate roll.
4. Roll system of rolling mill has high lubrication efficiency, which improves the bearing life, lower the oil consumption, pollution and maintenance rate.
5. Imported X-ray thickness gauge is used to improve the thickness accuracy of finished strip.
6. the electric system takes safety protection measures of overload protection, strip breakage
protection, emergency cut-off, etc.; the unit is equipped with functions of strip tail automatic
deceleration, accurate stopping and multi-point stopping; coiler is equipped with functions of
cycle memory, strip length calculation, and jaw accurate positioning.
7. In the second-level automation of AGC control, the rolling schedule has been further improved.
8. All key components and parts of hydraulic system adopt import components and parts, which
improves system reliability.
9. Hydraulic AGC system is equipped with advanced functions of constant roll gap control,
constant roll force control, constant thickness control, mass flow control, thickness pre-control,
tension/speed automatic control, etc.
