Used second hand Wire Rod Block Mfc.: Moeller & Neumann Type: MIT 6 WE Built: 1993 Material: Carbon steel and stainless steel 6 stand rod finishing block with 3 upper and 3 lower units in a V shape configuration for no twist Is designed to use 170 mm dia. discs to produce 5.5 to 12 mm dia. rods Entry dia.: 10.1 mm Exit: 5.5 mm Entry dia.: 18 mm Exit: 12 mm The block has a finishing speed of 60 m/s Reduction ratios: stainless steel: 17% / 20% carbon steel: 23% / 23% The block has an advantage that as each unit is equipped with a bevel wheel and a spur wheel step the ratio for all the stands is 0.95:1 and the longitudinal speed can be kept low. Advantage over other blocks is: Only one pair of bevel wheels are needed as reserve for the whole block Small bevel wheel diameters and hence small circumferential speeds Smooth run and a long lifetime of the bevel gears. Production capacity of the block is 50 t/h for 12 & 10 & 8 & 6.5 mm rod and 36.5 t/h for 5.5 mm. Scope of supply: Moeller Neuman 6 stand as specified above!
