MAIN CHARACTERISTICS:
1 Welded structure insulated in the inside with a refractory ceramic material and ceramic fiber
panels, it has been specially designed to maintain the temperature and insulate the inside of
the furnace from the outside.
2 The aluminum log gets inside the furnace at ambient temperature and leaves it at a
temperature of maximum 510°C. Progressively higher temperatures within the furnace are
obtained by the independent control of each one of the burner areas.
3 Direct heating is produced in 4+2 zones of burners, with an overall length of 7.4 meters.
4 Tunnel recovering section with a length of 2.3 meter benefits from high temperature and high
speed fumes coming out of the direct heating zone.
5 The forced convection zone divided in 3 zones, with 3 high temperature fans to take advantage of the high temperature on the entrance and get the lowest fumes temperature on the exit. The hot gases coming from the burner areas are blasted through an internal distribution system onto the surface of the incoming billets at high speed. This increases the heat transfer
coefficient in the heat recovering section, greatly improving the efficiency. The forced
convection zone has a length of 4.2 meters.
6 The log temperature is monitored by double thermocouples installed on board of proves, placed in the different zones, by direct contact. They are placed laterally to allow an easy access for maintenance.
7 The chamber pressure is controlled by a pressure transducer and the exhaust fan to maintain
the right pressure in all working conditions.
8 The log is guided through the furnace by motorized stainless steel rollers.
9 To have an easy and fast maintenance, the top of the furnace can be removed easily with a crane because of its special light weight design.
